Scoogie Events and the good folks at the Joseph Ambler Inn cordially invite you to the Third Annual Spring Fling 8k & 5k run festival on April 14th at the historic Joseph Ambler Inn. If you haven't been to the Joseph Ambler Inn lately....you're in for a treat! Please take the time to visit this wonderful establishment for lunch or dinner...There's a reason why they are always so busy.
In addition to the 8k & 5k runs, we will also have a 1/2 mile Kid's Fun Run & a 2 mile walk. The Kid's run will begin at 7:55 sharp, the 8k at 8:10 and the 5k will begin at 8:15. The festivities will continue well afterward when EVERYONE is invited to stick around and enjoy music, a full country breakfast and mimosas for those of age, activities for kids (including a bounceU bounce house) and of course the awards ceremony.

**Please note that parents can join the Kids' Fun Run, but if they would like to enjoy the country breakfast, they will need to register for the walk and show their bib in order to enter the breakfast area. Again, without a bib (run or walk bib), you will not be eligible for the breakfast.

Because we want to bring folks together in a meaningful way, get friends and families OUTSIDE to enjoy our beautiful area that we live in and most importantly, to help raise awareness and funds for the Wissahickon Watershed Association as well as Ainsley's Angels. The famous Joseph Ambler Inn will serve ALL runners a FULL COUNTRY BREAKFAST...yup..eggs, French toast casserole, bacon, potatoes, fruit, yogurt, muffins and pastries, coffee, tea & Juice. (limited to the first 500 registered, with a continental breakfast for everyone else)
AND....(drum roll.......) Mimosas for ALL the runners (of age)...mock mimosas for underage.

AWARDS: "You ask for it.....we deliver": From now on, ALL Scoogie events age group awards will be in FIVE YEAR age increments!! Awards given for 8K & 5k only, Kids Run is for FUN! Overall winner (male and female), plus top three males and females in each age category: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over. No mailing of awards or shirts.
Again, no mailing of awards or shirts. If you have to leave the race early for ANY reason, you must notify us to save your award. If you do not, we cannot hold/store awards and will likely be given to a race day entry or someone else. It is simply too much to hold/store & inventory the awards.
Note: If you are registered for this race and you registered in time to choose a t shirt/1/4 zip size BUT you are unable to run for whatever reason, you will NEED TO CONTACT us BEFORE RACE DAY and let us know if you'd like us to hold on to your reserved giveaway (t shirt or 1/4 zip) for you to pick up at a future Scoogie Event. If you do not do this, we cannot hold you shirt and it will be given to someone that registered after the deadline. We cannot mail shirts.
**Packet Pick up will be on FRIDAY, April 13th at NORTH WALES RUNNING COMPANY from 5-7 PM :-) A racer email will be sent out the Monday before the race detailing everything that you will need to know about packet pick up and race day details.
***If you cannot attend packet pick up on FRIDAY, April 13h....you can pick up your packet on race morning starting at 6:30 am.
